I started in earnest in January 2007, and have now written 187 pages containing 63,653 words.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My problem?  <\/strong>Sometimes my percentage goes backwards as I expand the plot.  Even though my plot is fairly detailed, this still happens naturally as I go along and think up new ideas or twists.  When it does go backwards, it&#8217;s usually not very far.  But this will happen multiple times and will add up.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>The bottom line:  <\/strong>I have further to go than I think, and that, in reality, <em>I&#8217;m not really at 50%<\/em>.  Go figure.<\/p>\n<p>(I moved the previous content that was at the end of this post to a new post.
