{"id":6235,"date":"2008-07-16T12:54:52","date_gmt":"2008-07-16T17:54:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.epictales.org\/treskillard\/2008\/07\/16\/first_ever_fan_art_for_my_book\/"},"modified":"2008-07-16T12:54:52","modified_gmt":"2008-07-16T17:54:52","slug":"first_ever_fan_art_for_my_book","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.epictales.org\/treskillard\/2008\/07\/16\/first_ever_fan_art_for_my_book\/","title":{"rendered":"First Ever Fan Art For My Book"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Let&#8217;s just say that my kids are fans of my book!<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Last month for Father&#8217;s Day<\/strong> (June 15th here in the U.S.), my children worked many long hours and gave me a statue of King Arthur.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>They made him out of Sculpey Clay<\/strong> that you cure by baking, with tin foil for filler, and wire  through his arms and legs.  Then they painted him and attached him with super-glue to a custom wooden base and covered him with lacquer.<\/p>\n<p><center><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.EpicTales.org\/images\/Robert\/KingArthurStatue.jpg?w=1200\" alt=\"Statue Of King Arthur\" title=\"Statue Of King Arthur\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p><strong>If you look closely<\/strong>, you can see he is wearing a golden torc, has trusty Excalibur at his side, and has a shield with a cross on it.  His hair is long and red, which you can see from the back view.  He stands about 8-1\/2&Prime; tall on top of the 1-1\/2&Prime; wooden base.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This was a great gift for me<\/strong>, because that was the day I finished my first draft!  Now King Arthur smiles back at me on my desk, inspiring me to &#8220;do again the bold deeds of old&#8221; &#8230; and write about them!<\/p>\n<p>Views: 44<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\nLet&#8217;s just say that my kids are fans of my book!
