This is Pslam 75, and this applies no matter who wins tonight.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\nWe give thanks to you, O God,
\nwe give thanks, for your Name is near;
\nmen tell of your wonderful deeds.<\/p>\n
You say, “I choose the appointed time;
\nit is I who judge uprightly.<\/p>\n
When the earth and all its people quake,
\nit is I who hold its pillars firm.<\/p>\n
To the arrogant I say, ‘Boast no more,’
\nand to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horns.<\/p>\n
Do not lift your horns against heaven;
\ndo not speak with outstretched neck.'”<\/p>\n
No one from the east or the west
\nor from the desert can exalt a man.<\/p>\n
But it is God who judges:
\nHe brings one down, he exalts another.<\/p>\n
In the hand of the LORD is a cup
\nfull of foaming wine mixed with spices;
\nhe pours it out, and all the wicked of the earth
\ndrink it down to its very dregs.<\/p>\n
As for me, I will declare this forever;
\nI will sing praise to the God of Jacob.<\/p>\n
I will cut off the horns of all the wicked,
\nbut the horns of the righteous will be lifted up.<\/p>\n
