They plan on setting up a land trust and opening up the land as a nature reserve for both local use, as well as archaeological research.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This is fascinating<\/strong>, because the hill was the site of a Norman era castle used to keep the Welsh in check (anyone read <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.stephenlawhead.com\">Stephen Lawhead&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> King Raven Series (<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epictales.org\/treskillard\/scarlet_by_stephen_lawhead_amdash_part_1\">HOOD<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epictales.org\/treskillard\/scarlet_by_stephen_lawhead_amdash_part_2\">SCARLET<\/a><\/strong>, &amp; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.epictales.org\/treskillard\/review_of_tuck_by_stephen_lawhead\">TUCK<\/a><\/strong>)? Hmmmmm&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Not only could artifacts be found from the Norman Conquest era, but possibly from the era of King Arthur.<\/strong>  This is because (in my opinion) the Norman castle could have been built on the site of a far older hillfort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So, it will be interesting to see what is found.<\/strong>  In particular, my daughter is taking archaeology through the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.le.ac.uk\/archaeology\/dl\/index.html\">University of Leicester, England<\/a><\/strong>, and will have to participate in some digs.
