I was going to post “Who Was Merlin — Part 2″ today, but found an EXCELLENT blog post<\/a><\/strong> over at Heavenfield<\/a><\/strong> about Merlin and how he “got his start” when Vortigern attempted to sacrifice him in order to get his fortress built.<\/p>\n

Lets just say ole Vorty was having a bit of trouble. \";)\"<\/p>\n

So go on over and read the post about Merlin<\/a>, you won’t be disappointed.<\/strong> And by the way, read “wise men” as “druids” in the text, as that is who I think it is referring to.<\/p>\n

This story of Merlin and Vortigern is actually foundational to my entire series, and so I am kicking myself right now, saying, “Why didn’t I think to cover that first?”.<\/p>\n
