This is book 2 in The Merlin Spiral, and I would just love to fill out fresh pages with oodles of exciting prose and dialogue &#8230; except &#8230; ahem &#8230; alas &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230; I want to delay writing fresh material for two reasons:<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"goright\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.EpicTales.org\/images\/Robert\/Merlins_Shadow.jpg?w=250\" alt=\"Merlin's Shadow\"  \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I just finished editing book 1 to fix passive sentences &#8230; I need to do this to Merlin&#8217;s Shadow as well to make sure that these pages work well with what will follow.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>I desperately need to get myself back into the story after having spent almost four months with Merlin&#8217;s Blade&#8230; Editing will accomplish that nicely.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>So &#8230; I&#8217;m not writing anything new yet<\/strong>, but I <em>am <\/em>accomplishing something <em>and <\/em>laying the ground work for new writing.<\/p>\n<p>Based on my speed while editing Merlin&#8217;s Blade, the editing process shouldn&#8217;t take more than a month&#8230; My sidebar will reflect my progress.<\/p>\n<h3>Big News<br \/><\/h3>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong>Also &#8230; I will be printing up some personal copies of Merlin&#8217;s Blade<\/strong> ! <img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.EpicTales.org\/images\/smilies\/graysmilewinkgrin.gif?w=1200\" alt=\"&#59;&#68;\" class=\"middle\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>These will NOT be for sale<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Let me repeat that: &#8230; these are <em>not<\/em> for sale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>They are for the purpose of handing out to a few published author friends<\/strong> to entice them to read it &#8230; in hopes of getting a <em>real<\/em> recommendation to an agent or publisher.<\/p>\n<p><strong>As part of this, I want as professional of a cover as possible<\/strong>, so Leighton and I have been working on putting together a <em><strong>kicker <\/strong><\/em>of a book cover using Blender 3D.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So far the results are absolutely spectacular<\/strong>, and I hope to add parts of this graphic to my website soon.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Be on the lookout!<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Views: 64<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\nI&#8217;ve decided to pick up Merlin&#8217;s Shadow once more, which currently stands at 156 solidly written pages.
