Hey blog readers!

Like my new skin for my blog?

I have been writing lately you know just exercising my writing skills  ;) ;) ;)

Anyway,  I have written a one page shortstory and so here tis!

Kelin was devastated and very close to tears. If what the docs said was true her father might not last to see the dawn.

For a thirteen year old girl she found it very hard to take and seeing her father lying there gasping for breath was almost too much for her. Kelin knelt down beside her bed and prayed fervently. Dear god. Why do you take my parents away from me all at once?

A few tears slipped down Kelin’s cheeks making a line that cut through the heavy blush and smeared mascara beneath her sodden eyelashes.

Her mother’s funeral had been last week. The docs said her father was dying of cancer but Kelin knew better. Her father was dying of grief.

He had loved His wife very much and had not said much at the funeral.

***

Kelin sobbed over her dad’s still form as the nurses and docs stood by looking on helplessly. Both of her parents down in one week. Why Lord, WHY?! Kelin almost screamed.

She was transferred immediately to an orphanage because there was no one in her family that wanted her. They all said “We have too many of their own to provide for in the failing economy.”

Kelin scoffed at their propositions. The biggest family in her extended family had three kids! Really. She rolled her eyes as she sat in the bus that would take her to the orphanage.

***

Kelin’s eyes grew wide. after only two months at the orphanage the mistress had called her into her office with news that a young Christian family with a farm had decided to adopt another girl into their family and they wanted HER!!

Kelin’s heart leaped at the idea of being in a loving family again. Apparently the mistress had told her the family had a black cocker spaniel and 4 year old twins, A boy and a girl and they needed help around the farm and would love to have her.

***

Kelin squealed in excitement. She was almost there!

As Kelin stepped out of the bus she gasped at the beautiful landscape, luscious green grass, fountains and pools.

The large barn stood a ways off its cheery red color smiling as she crossed the lawn patting the horses that grazed behind a stout white wooden fence. As she approached the cheery yellow large farm house with flowers and beautiful plants lining the porch and railings The white door with ‘WELCOME’ painted in bright blue letters flew open and Kelin fell in to the loving arms or her new Mother.

THE END

Wacha think?  please comment cause i hardly getanycomments on my blog.

And I ahve been writing poems lately :D

Here is one of them Called SNOW.

SNOW

Snow flakes catch on my eyelashes,

As they fall softly to the ground,

No snowflake ever matches,

As snowflakes gently mound.

Christmas is now over,

But snowflakes still fall magicly,

The whiteness covers the clover,

And drifts down peacefully.

As I step out into the cold,

The chill takes my breath away,

And January is getting old,

But though it is gloomy,

my happieness it will not sway!!!

How was it?

Another one called WIND,

WIND

You sail so high above the trees,

You rustle vines of verdant peas,

Carrottops they sway and bend,

All because of what you send.

Like it?

Hey Ness! :) Nice blog!

Love the short story. Especially this part: "The docs said her father was dying of cancer but Kelin knew better. Her father was dying of grief." Sent shivers down my spine...keep writing! Ye have a gifting from God, Ness. It grows stronger the closer ye are to Him. :D

The Wind poem is excellent. :) Great job!
